1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or registering for an account on TrueFoodie (the "Platform" or "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service and our accompanying Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform or access our restaurant directory.

2. Exclusive Membership & Invitation Protocol

TrueFoodie is an invite-only food community designed to protect the integrity, authenticity, and non-commercial nature of food recommendations in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

• Invite Validation: Access requires redemption of a verified referral link or invitation code issued by an existing member or an administrator.
• Invitation Responsibility: You are responsible for the invitations you distribute. Excessive referral of bad-faith actors or automated bots may result in revocation of invite privileges.
• Commercial Selling Prohibited: Buying, selling, trading, or auctioning TrueFoodie invitations for monetary consideration is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate, permanent expulsion.

3. User Conduct & Community Standards

When using the TrueFoodie community, you agree to:

• Provide honest, authentic, and firsthand reviews and ratings based on actual dining visits.
• Refrain from posting promotional content, astroturfing, or compensated reviews on behalf of any restaurant or hospitality entity.
• Never scrape, reverse engineer, or deploy automated crawlers against the TrueFoodie API, map vector tiles, or curated restaurant databases without written authorization.
• Maintain courteous discussion when sharing food opinions or interacting with fellow members.

4. Restaurant Listings & Information Accuracy

TrueFoodie provides restaurant details including operating hours, signature dishes, neighborhood zones, and vegetarian/Jain dietary tags in good faith. However:

• Restaurant menus, operating times, pricing, and allergen handling are subject to unilateral changes by individual dining establishments.
• TrueFoodie does not warrant or guarantee the availability, food safety, or quality of dishes served by featured third-party restaurants.
• Users with severe food allergies must independently verify ingredients and preparation methods directly with restaurant staff.

5. Intellectual Property

All proprietary cartographic styling, map markers, user interface designs, custom iconography, software code, and curated editorial rankings are the exclusive intellectual property of TrueFoodie.

You retain ownership of any authentic reviews or personal dining photographs you upload, granting TrueFoodie a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display such content within the platform ecosystem.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, TrueFoodie and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform, your visits to recommended dining venues, or service interruptions.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
